- I will only log things I have actually done.
- I will not invent actions, or log the same thing twice, to climb the leaderboard.
- I will not make extra accounts to give myself more points.
- I will enter real numbers from real bills, not made-up ones.
- I understand that the point of this is the energy saved, not the score — and that a made-up score saves nothing.
1. Why this exists
Every point in this app is calculated by the server, not by your phone, so the numbers themselves cannot be edited or forged. Daily limits are enforced, the same action cannot be logged twice in a day, and a made-up score is caught by the maths.
But no software can check whether you actually switched the fan off. That one thing rests entirely on you — which is exactly why it is a promise and not a rule.
2. The point isn't the points
A leaderboard is a way of making something invisible feel real. The kWh, the CO₂, the litres — those are the actual result, and the score is just how you see them add up.
A faked score saves nothing. No unit of electricity goes unused because someone tapped a button they did not earn; the only thing that changes is that the number lies, and then the number is worth nothing to anybody. You would be first on a leaderboard that measures nothing.
3. If someone doesn't keep it
If points are gained dishonestly, a teacher or an administrator can correct the score, reset it, or remove the account from a class.
If you think something has gone wrong with your own score — a mis-tap, a bill typed in wrongly — tell your teacher. Fixing an honest mistake is not cheating, and nobody is in trouble for owning up to one.
